YES, IT'S MON-KEY!
33 weeks today and babycenter.com is comparing Monkey's heft (just over 4 pounds!) to a fresh pineapple. He's also 17 inches long, and let us just say that the acrobatics of yesterweeks are coming to an end. Real estate is getting harder to come by in there. His bones are hardening although his skull remains soft, and his lungs now have surfactant covering his alveoli, so he's almost ready to breathe air.
In more exciting news, Aunties B, A, and M cohosted a lovely baby shower last weekend and we hope to get some pictures of the party up soon. Tremendous progress was made towards getting things Monkey-ready, for which we are very, very grateful!!
