Pinkeye
On the day of Aunt B's ordination, Monkey woke up with pinkeye. Mr. Z and Monkey skipped the morning service to visit the Minute Clinic. Thankfully after the first day or so it didn't seem to bother him, and he was a champ for the ordination and dinner following. Oh well. Into every vacation a few eyedrops must fall. Here he is after a few days of antibiotics and many loads of laundry:

Aunt B
The initial reason for our trip was actually Aunt B. She graduated from this school with a Masters of Divinity. The next day she was ordained by the church where she has been serving as Youth Pastor during her time at school. We are all very proud of her many accomplishments and excited for the next stage in her ministry (hopefully closer to home)! A good time was had by all (cousins and grandparents especially): 
Monkey had to raid Mrs. Z's jewelry stash for the finishing touch to his ensemble for this special occasion. He was very pleased with his outfit, it was just right for that post-baccalaureate dance party.

Beach Monkey
We've had a fantastic week on our first real family vacation. Tomorrow is our last day at the beach and then we begin the long drive home. After which we may make an attempt to sort through the hundreds of pictures from our trip for posting purposes. Poor Monkey is going to be heartbroken when he realizes the beach is staying here and we are going home. Hope you have a great weekend, wherever you are!

Birthday Surprise!
Monkey's birthday is still a few months off, but his present arrived this week to take advantage of all the lovely weather between here and June. Now we cheer whenever we pull into the driveway, because there's a playground in our backyard! Yay!
Many thanks to Grandpa T for helping us out with transportation, and for being such an excellent assistant to Monkey while our little handy man assembled it. ;)
